Humanitarian Programs

Despite global advancements in medical care, some of the world’s poorest people are still dying of diseases that can be easily treated by doctors with adequate education and training. SWME believes that medical education plays a pivotal role in addressing these challenges.

The SWME’s Humanitarian Programs empower developing communities through the continued professional development of their leading doctors. SWME provides un-restricted educational grants to education programs in developing countries and sponsors doctors whose work has a humanitarian impact on their local community and who lack the funding to attend the world’s top continuing professional development activities.

SWME’s Humanitarian Programs are geared towards communities that are significantly disadvantaged in terms of their population’s access to quality health care, adequate medical facilities, and the resources required to treat diseases and improve their overall health and well-being.
