CPD Worldwide

CPD and World Health

SWME advocates for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as a capacity building tool, which connects doctors in developing countries to the training they need to meet local health care challenges, benefit from advancements in global medicine and triumph over barriers to quality medical education in their home countries.

Unfortunately, many of the world’s poorest countries still lack the proper facilities and resources needed to adequately train their medical professionals. The SWME seeks to bridge this gap by creating spaces for doctors from both developed and developing medical communities to come together, exchange information, share best practices and enhance their performance.

Many non-government organizations send medical professionals from the U.S. and Europe into the field to. SWME brings local doctors from the field to major medical association courses and meetings, so that they may have equal access to critical sources of knowledge and training.
