SWME Unites with Diabetes Leaders in Brazil

Dr. Alvaro Margolis, SWME Advisory Board member and Shavala Magri, Executive Director, participated in 16º Curso Avançado em Tratamento do Diabetes to promote the online regional CME course, "Practical Application of the 2013 ALAD Guidelines: Diagnosis, Treatment and Control of Type II Diabetes,” led by Asociación Latinoamericana de Diabetes (ALAD).

During the event, Ms. Magri had the opportunity to meet Dr. Antônio Chacra (Brasil), Chief of the Endocrinology Department at the Federal University of Sao Paulo, who will participate as a leading expert for the ALAD regional online course.

“Practical Application of the 2013 ALAD Guidelines: Diagnosis, Treatment and Control of Type II Diabetes,” is a unique online course that will run from October to November 2014. The course will consist of 26 study hours and will be available in Spanish and Portuguese, delivered using SWME’s unique online methodology.
